Description
Spirits of the Stones – Scorhill Clapper Bridge, Scorhill stone circle and ceremonial complex, Dartmoor.
Painted between Beltane and Summer Solstice 2024.
On the eve of the sabbat the veil thins and worlds intwine, the dancers in procession to the stones are joined by the ancestors and the spirits. The connection of the people to the land is affirmed with another turn of the great wheel.
Many thanks to the Beltane Border Morris dancers who keep the old ways alive here in the West Country.
