Description
This piece was painted for the “Call of The Morrigan Oracle” and the card is called “Sovereignty”. For me this piece was all about depicting The Morrigan in her aspect of high queen of the land. Her deep connection to the land is shown as her gown becomes the land and from there we see the burial complexes and ceremonial spaces of the people. It is through her the people thrive or suffer as she is the bestower of kingship, the great mother of the people.
The lesson I learned from this piece was to respect all offerings from the land in order to honour the land.
